Tarot and oracle decks are part of our daily ritual to connect to Spirit and empower our intuition. It is through divination that we are able to quiet the mind, empower the soul, and listen intently to our intuition. We are incredibly fortunate to live in a time where there are an abundance of rad divination tools to assist us in our never-ending journey of inner exploration and expansion.
Spirit Guides just returned from the Afterlife Research and Education Symposium, organized by the Afterlife Research and Education Institute (AREI) in Scottsdale, Arizona. This gathering brought together some of the brightest and most well-studied minds in the afterlife research space, all working to provide evidence to the idea that our consciousness continues once our physical body dies.
At the beginning of each year, it’s customary to write down goals, resolutions, things to start up, and things to shed. And while we love goals as much as the next soulpreneur (like, a lot, a lot), they are typically hyper-focused on doing, and we’re finding that the secret to success is actually in shifting more of our attention to simply being. Allowing. Accepting. Aligning.
As highly attuned wild women, we cherish, nourish, and honor the magic that shines down on us from our glowing sister in the sky, the moon. Spirit Guides Magazine was launched on a full moon by no accident or “coincidence,” and we are always taken aback from watching a moonrise or gazing into the eyes of a sister when sitting in ceremony under her glow.
Fuck yes! When was the last time you could honestly answer that way when asking yourself if you were 100 percent in alignment—with love, with work, within your home and, most importantly, within yourself?
From a young age, all Eleni Gray wanted to do was use her intuitive abilities to help others. But, as is the case with many prodigy spiritual healers, the people in her life weren’t as keen on her taking that path. She found herself conforming to those societal expectations that were considered ‘normal’ for a long time. Eventually, severely depressed and on the brink of divorce, Gray finally hit her own rock bottom and decided nothing was worth ignoring her true heart callings any longer.
Crystals are the unofficial mascots of spirituality. Often the first step on a spiritual path for new seekers, crystals offer a peek into the mysteries and beauty of the world around us—and also invite us to explore the world within us.
Artist, graphic designer, and full-time mom (read: hella busy, kickass lady), Deja Drewit is on a mission to spread the importance of self-care to women who struggle with it—so, like, all women everywhere, amiright?!
Curious humans have long garnered wisdom, inspiration, and insight from the celestial sky above. We are naturally called to look up and marvel at the wonder and quiet power of the stars and intuitively decipher the ancient connection between the stardust in our souls and the luminous universe.
Happy Anniversary to us! One year ago today, on a mystical full moon on 1/11/17, we launched Spirit Guides Magazine into the universe from the energetic land of Sedona, Arizona.
The art of ritual is something that is not nearly as present in our modern lives as it was previously. The ancestral memories of ritual and ceremony pump through us and call to us to answer with devotion, to connect with Spirit, ourselves, and the divine nature of everything around us by bringing ritual into our daily lives.
When it comes to adorning our human bodies with all that is mystical to remind us of our infinite magic, jewelry is of course on the top of the list. Wearing jewelry is more than just putting on a pretty ring, however. Jewelry can be a talisman and a powerful way to connect with the earth, with Spirit, and with our truest selves.
Aligning passion with purpose to create a fulfilling career is the driving force for entrepreneurs in the Aquarian Age. We are no longer happy with working a job to simply get a paycheck, and gone are the days where we are overworked, underpaid, and under stimulated. We conscious creators, magic makers, intentional doers, have taken the reins of our lives and our careers.
Connecting to spirit and intuition through tarot is a tried and true way to receive messages from other realms. Finding a deck you resonate with—one that speaks to and through you—is a nourishing, expansive experience as you dig deeper into tarot.
Last month, we launched our 1st annual Best Of Spirit Guides 2017 and it was a blast, fulfilling all those original intentions! We connected with and discovered many like-minded souls who are living their passion and purpose, and sharing their magic with the world. We were humbled and blown away by the response from you, our tribe, with your favorite light workers in 20 categories.
There is little more important in life than raising your vibration through sharing your truth and living your purpose. This world needs the inspired, the passionate, the fearless.
If there’s anything we love more than crystals, it’s crystal elixirs! Filtered water infused with crystal energy has long been a ritual and remedy of ours, but the little crystal babies would bump around in the bottle and sometimes end up in our eager-to-be-healed mouths.
Every day, Courtney Beck gets up before dawn because it’s the “most magical time of the day.” She does a 20-minute meditation, journeying to the sky for a check-in with her spirit team. Then, while in a trance-like state, she begins to channel messages directly from the Hindu god Krishna.
In 2009, the Dalai Lama proclaimed that “the world will be changed by the western woman.” Today, we can see his prediction coming true as more and more of us deliberately infuse the divine feminine into all areas of life and rise to become the changemakers of the future.
The influence the moon has on us is undeniable. As our celestial sister shining brightly in the sky wanes and waxes, we too ebb and flow along with her natural rhythms.
Ritual and ceremony are something that our modern lives don’t see nearly enough of. Honoring the sacred and connecting with spirit are often viewed as only available to the “enlightened.” But the truth is that spirituality is for everyone, and ritual is not only an effective tool, but also a magical way to initiate the conversation with the universe.
Sandra Thelusmond, yogi and founder of Vibrate Higher, has made it her mission to awaken the masses and raise the vibration of humanity in order to help initiate a more conscious way of life based in love and respect (and looking fly, of course!).
Yoga is a beloved spiritual practice that helps us connect deeply with our inner worlds. However, it is also a wonderful way to learn how to interact with the world around us with more compassion, understanding, and a willingness to serve.
As advocates of the “woowoo” way of life, we want crystals everywhere, all the time. When we came across Kat Wright of Crystal Bar Soap, we knew we’d found the ultimate way to wash away the bad juju we energetically pick up while simultaneously helping out the B.O. situation.
In the Aquarian age, we are seeing more and more starseeds emerge from a societal coma and follow their bliss. Once such goddess shining her unique light is Laura Brown. A reiki practitioner, energy alchemist, tarot reader, certified life coach, and breathwork facilitator, Brown teaches that “nothing is beyond our reach when our hearts are open and we are fully ready and open to receive.”
Wanderlust isn’t just a feeling, it’s a lifestyle, and Caroline Mauro of INDA Creations has turned her wanderlusting lifestyle into a passionate career as a goddesspreneur.
Although yoga is a thousands-of-years-old practice, Elizabeth Rowan is changing the way we use and view this ancient tool for personal transformation—reminding us all that we are inherently alchemists.
The magical and mystical land of Sedona is frequented year-round for its vortexes, outdoor activities, and hopeful alien sightings. But there’s one time of year in particular where the vibes are extra high and the yoga pants are extra bright. The 2017 Sedona Yoga Festival runs from March 9-12 and yogis from around the world will gather amongst the red rocks to deepen and share their spiritual practice.
Frog’s breath, bat’s blood, and the toenail of a giant may have been ingredients in witchy cauldrons of times past, but in 2017, contemporary witches are putting new twists on ancient rituals. In the age of do-it-yourself and instant gratification, magic is no exception. With the precision of an artisan in a workshop, Allison Johnson, creatrix of Ritual In A Jar, expertly crafts rituals for the modern witch.
Sabrina Riccio of Shamanessa Goddessa is an empowered, intuitive, badass modern mystic with healing potions up her sleeve and ancient mantras vibrating from her throat. We had to know what was living so palpably bold inside her heart.

The moon, oh the moon. How enchanted we are with our glowing sister as she travels gleefully around our blue planet! It has never been different: “Look at the moon” must be one of the most ancient phrases there has ever been.
When we stumbled upon the soulful and stylish work of Cassie Uhl, founder of Zenned Out, we knew there was something special about this radiant goddess and her shiny mission. “I launched Zenned Out with the mission to create a brand that normalized spirituality in the common marketplace and offered people a space to discuss topics of spirituality freely, without fear of judgment.”
It wasn’t until around 1000 AD that witches attracted the wrath of Christian priests and their followers, but since the early days of humankind witches have been known for their spellbound potions and herbal brews. Herbal apothecary is nothing new, but the magic being cooked up by Seattle-based, witch-owned boutique, The Cunning Crow Apothecary, is putting a modern spin on an ancient alchemy.
Though Sarah Wilder thinks “we all begin [the spiritual journey] at birth,” she recalls three significant moments that specifically propelled her as a mystical seeker: the death of her father, transitioning to vegetarianism, and giving birth to her son. It was the last of these that inspired her to start the business that we so love, The Fifth Element Life, where she creates modern talismans for the stylish spiritualist.
